Grandpass Facility
Established in 1907, ALS proudly founded one of Sri Lanka's earliest coconut oil manufacturing facilities in the vibrant heart of Colombo's Grandpass area.
Today, this historic facility remains one of the oldest operational oil mills, continuously enhancing processes to ensure impeccable quality and efficient production. Our well-known domestic coconut oil brands, Njoy and Cocoplus, are manufactured here.
Additionally, we have set up advanced machinery with metal detection capabilities for superior spice cleaning and processing. At grandpass - we process a wide range of single spices, as well as our unique range of spice blends, championing the best of Sri Lankan spices.
Our expansive warehouses further enable us to efficiently sort, process, and re-pack desiccated coconut and spices, catering to the demands of the export market.
Pannala Factory
In response to the growing global demand for organic, healthy, and premium food products, ALS took a proactive step in 2014 by establishing a cutting-edge, fully automated manufacturing facility in the heart of Sri Lanka's coconut triangle. This facility specializes in the production of a diverse range of coconut kernel products, particularly Virgin Coconut Oil.
We take immense pride in meeting the stringent requirements of the world's most discerning markets. Our factory holds certifications such as BRC AA grade, BSCI A grade, EU & USDA Organic, Fairtrade, and Naturland. With an in-house quality control team, we ensure that each batch undergoes thorough monitoring and testing to deliver the freshest and highest-quality produce. Rigorous product testing has confirmed that our VCO is free from mineral oils, plasticizers, pesticides, MOSH, POSH, and MOA.
In 2021, we expanded the capabilities of our factory by constructing a new building dedicated to processing fresh, organic tropical fruits like jackfruit and pineapple. Equipped with an advanced steam and water retort line, we are able to process these tropical fruits into jars, cans, or vacuum pouches of various sizes, ensuring their superior quality and taste.

UDA Facility
The UDA warehouse complex in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is strategically situated in close proximity to the main port, making it an ideal location for efficient distribution processes. ALS utilizes this facility for the storage, sorting, packing, and dispatch of their imported commodities, specifically cement and animal feed products.
Upon arrival at the UDA warehouse, the cargo is entrusted to the warehouse operatives who undertake various tasks to ensure a seamless unloading process. They meticulously organize and pack the goods, taking care to store them optimally within the facility. Stringent supervision is maintained over the stored goods on an item-by-item basis until they are ready to be dispatched to ALS customers.
This comprehensive approach to warehouse operations at UDA ensures that ALS can maintain control over their inventory and deliver products to their customers in a timely and efficient manner.
